“The one with that hill.” A proper set of trail runs in Jozi that winds though the lush Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens – voted the best place to get back to nature in Gauteng for 9 years in a row – and climbs the relentless ridges of the adjoining Muldersdrift Hobby Park.
The 6km loop, 12km and NEW 20km circular route – which head further into the open rocky Highland grassland and more technical running sections – are all a great challenge to tackle on a Saturday morning. Fiercely competed or enjoyed at a more leisurely pace, both pass by the cascading waterfall and cliffs home to a breeding pair of majestic Verreaux’s Eagles.
2km Kids route travels through the Gardens on walkways and paths, accompanied by marshalls.
